Please see our updated page on Sage software compatible with Windows 7.
As I have mentioned previously, I now have Windows 7 as my operating system, and have just installed my new copy of Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2012 (version 18) to test if it was compatible, and if there were any issues.
My experience was that on upgrading the Sage software it continued to work as normal. As yet, I haven’t had any issues. In fact, one of the problems I experienced on Sage 50 Accounts 2011 – when running and printing a report, when I closed out of the report the Sage desktop minimised and I had to open it up again to continue working – no longer happens.
In addition to an easier install, new Sage 50 Accounts 2012 keeps the existing settings, links and reports in place, so I have found it more user-friendly than previous versions.
This is only my experience, however, and relates to the 2012 version of the Sage software I have tested. For details of other versions, please refer to the Sage website.
